PDFpen 2 Embraces iOS 8 with New Professional-level Features

in Productivity (E)

[prMac.com] San Francisco, California - Smile, the developer of productivity applications for Mac, iPhone and iPad, is pleased to announce today the release of PDFpen 2 (v2.0), a new version of its popular PDF editor developed for iPhone and iPad devices. PDFpen 2 is fully optimized for iOS 8 with an all new look and feel which runs on both iPad and iPhone. The enhanced toolbar and new editing bar make popular writing and highlighting features easy to access, with minimal taps.

Users can easily import and export documents via iCloud Drive, making it easy to share cloud-based documents not just with the Mac, but with other apps on an iPad or iPhone. Use AirDrop to quickly send documents to other devices. PDFpen 2 supports palm and wrist protection when writing and highlighting. Documents can be secured with a user password and the user's choice of encryption levels. Number pages automatically, including Bates numbering.

PDFpen 2 includes a library of stamps, a selection of which include the date and author. Add your own annotation author name for clarity when sharing annotated PDFs with colleagues. Optionally, flatten PDF annotations on export for maximum compatibility with other PDF viewers. View and navigate annotations, tables of contents, and search results in the sidebar. On supported forms, use the full-screen signature widget to make signing easier.

"We've listened to a lot of customer feedback in creating PDFpen 2" said Smile founder Philip Goward. "PDFpen 2 is not just easier to use, but loaded with features PDF-using professionals need."
