[prMac.com] Mahe, Seychelles - Internet Marketing Ltd has announced MySpeedster, a GPS based game which is going to be a first game of GPS-Racing genre. Coming to iPhone's App Store in November. The website is opened from now revealing the basic idea of a new way for gaming:
What is GPS-Racing? The users drive their own cars, not that concept-million-dollar-vehicles on the screen, but the real cars in the streets of the cities. The mobile device (iPhone is to be the first suppported platform) - just a telemetry device. It takes speed and positioning and sends the best «scores» to the MySpeedster.net servers.
The users will be challenging to make the best 100 km/h acceleration, or run the distance of 400 m - these are two modes of the real-life game. All the standing tables are splitted by mode (100 kmh / 400 m run), by countries and by vehicle types. Those speedy ones will struggle in their separate league to make the competition fair and available for all amateur drivers.
We are not making people to break regulations and take penalties from road police. Remember speeding is dangerous, but we strongly believe there are plenty of safe places in every city where people can show up their driving skills. And what we believe more - many of them do this and enjoy the car they own. We just provide the technology to make the process interesting.
