Record Attendance at the 8th Annual FCPUG SuperMeet

Jan 15, 2009 - The Final Cut Pro Users Group is excited to announce that a standing room only crowd attended the recent 8th Annual Macworld FCPUG SuperMeet held at the Mission Bay Conference Center in San Francisco on January 7, 2009. The next SuperMeet will be held Tuesday, April 21 in Las Vegas alongside the giant NAB trade show. The organizers are already lining up the venue and sponsors with the expectation to draw record attendance.

Nov 16, 2008 - The next meeting of the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group will be Wednesday, November 19, 2008 beginning at 6:45 PM at the Gallery Theater in E. Hollywood, CA. It will be the "other NLEs Night," featuring Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 and Avid Media Composer v3. Before the show and the break there will be demos in the lobby of DV Kitchen from DVCreators, storage solutions from HDDisk, Green Screen keying from Veescope Live and much more.


lafcpug Going to DV Expo

Nov 03, 2008 - The Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group will once again stage its unique brand of infotainment and education Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 7PM inside the LA Convention Center as part of the 12th annual DV Expo in Los Angeles, CA. This event is for digital video content creators who use Apple's Final Cut Studio or want to learn Final Cut Studio. Scheduled to appear on the agenda will be FCS Guru Larry Jordan who will show several FCP Tips and tricks you need to know.

Oct 18, 2008 - The next meeting of the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group (lafcpug) will be Wednesday, Oct 22 at the Gallery Theatre in Hollywood, CA beginning at 6:45PM. Scheduled to appear will be Kevin Wyatt from Baseline Studio Systems, Josh Mellicker from DVCreators, FCS Guru Andrew Balis, Neil Smith and Aaron Peak of Hollywood DI and Veescope Signals' Neil Smith.

Sep 21, 2008 - The next meeting of the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group will be Wednesday, September 24, 2008 beginning at 6:45PM at the Gallery Theater in Hollywood California. Join us as welcome Mark Altekruse who will show off the the music making capabilities of baltat Muse 2.0. Film editor Billy Fox will also appear and show how he used all of Final Cut Studio's apps to bring the recently released film, "Traitor" not only to life, but save a lot of money.


First Annual IBC FCPUG SuperMeet: Agenda set

Sep 08, 2008 - The agenda has been announced for the 1st Annual IBC FCPUG SuperMeet to be held Sunday, 14 September, 2008 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands at the Culture Park Westergasfabriek, Gashouder as part of the giant trade show, IBC 2008. This event is expected to be the largest gathering of Final Cut Pro users and digital filmmakers on the planet during IBC week. In addition to the above agenda there will be twenty vendors from all around the world showing off their wares.


Europe's First FCPUG SuperMeet Coming to IBC

Blu-ray and Soundtrack Pro at lafcpug, July 23

DVD guru Bruce Nazarian who will demonstrate a simple Mac FCP/FCS-to-Blu-ray workflow for both blu-ray media and red-laser media. Also Steve Martin of Ripple Training returns to lafcpug to show off and talk about Soundtrack Pro 2.


LA Final Cut Pro User Group to Celebrate 8th Anniversary

Join us as we celebrate the eighth anniversary of the lafcpug. It was just eight years ago that lafcpug held its first meeting in a small post production room in Burbank, CA. Now, with a membership of over 5000 people worldwide, lafcpug has grown into the single largest and most infulential Final Cut Pro User Group in the world.
