May 02, 2012 - Popular desktop application, Fluency Timer, comes to the iOS this week. The app allows teachers, parents, and students to record fluency readings with the push of a button. An adjustable timer automatically stops the recording at the end of a preset time. Recordings can be played back, e-mailed, or transferred to the desktop. Teachers can collect audio recordings as evidence of student achievement and communicate results by sharing recordings with parents and colleagues.

It provides assessments in each of six areas: rhyming, blending, segmenting, sight words, fluency, word attack and more. Version 2.4 is being released Wednesday, November 30, 2011.
