New Web Show Highlights iPhone App Developers

Jan 21, 2010 - The Digital Lifestyle, an online video channel of Apple-related news, reviews and lifestyle information is launching a new show aimed at connecting users with app developers. The iPhoneDevShow is a live weekly show, highlighting two or three app developers, talking about their apps, the app store, and answering questions from viewers. They will talk about their favorite apps and comment on developing for the platform.


Star Trek and Apple Fans Unite for Star Trek Saturdays

Jan 06, 2010 - Many people who are fanatical about Apple, are also fans of Star Trek. The Digital Lifestyle is bringing both Apple and Star Trek fans together in a weekly event called Star Trek Saturdays. Beginning January 16th, each Saturday the site will post a full-length episode of Star Trek, starting with the first episode of the original series. The intent is to bring these two groups together and to give the more casual Star Trek viewer a chance to learn more about the show.

The service aims to make it quick and fun to learn all you probably need to know about many iPhone apps. Each tweet contains a link to the app, and a link to a full review, when available. The feed will have one new review each day, and might increase the daily number of reviews in the future.

The site has partnered with Matt Dodd and Sidney San Martin from TheiLife, who will be in line outside the Fifth Avenue store beginning at 7AM ET Thursday. The pair will be giving live updates during their 24 hours in line, culminating in the live unboxing of the new iPhone.

The website and video production elements have changed, or will be changing, shortly to minimize environmental impact. All lighting for studio shoots will be lit by fluorescent lights, and studio power will be purchased through a wind power exchange plan.
