[prMac.com] Colonia, New Jersey - Ded Tees will will donate 25% of net proceeds from Tilt Timer to Ante up for Africa, a charity founded by Don Cheadle, Annie Duke and Norman Epstein. Tilt Timer an iPhone Poker application was released on Feb 26, 2010 to help poker players with iPhones/iPods improve their poker game.
Tilt or Tilting, according to Wikipedia "is a poker term for a state of mental confusion or frustration in which a player adopts a less than optimal strategy, usually resulting in the player becoming over-aggressive", is a common occurrence in poker play. The Tilt Timer allows the player to put themselves on tilt for a set amount of time and when the timer runs out, the player is no longer on tilt.
The Tilt Timer was created by Eric Duchin, although he contributes its success to poker pros Annie Duke and Rafe Furst for their invaluable input and help on the project. Eric spoke about Rafe's and Annie's contribution to the Tilt Timer, "Rafe's suggestion to make it an iPhone application was brilliant and Annie was so inspiring and friendly I wanted to help her charity immediately!" Eric hopes to raise at least $25,000 for the charity and everyone can follow the progress on the Tilt Timer website.
