[prMac.com] London, United Kingdom - Herp Games today is pleased to announce the launch of Standard Time - Real Live Alarm Clock 1.0, made exclusively for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Standard Time - Real Live Alarm Clock is the sixth Herp Games title for the iPhone and is now available for download on Apple's iTunes App Store.
70 workers are building a gigantic wooden 13 x 40 ft digital time display in real time: a work that involves 1611 changes within a 24 hour period. Seamlessly documented in a 24 hours movie, this fantastic alarm clock is now available on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
Standard Time is a sculpture about time and a race against the clock. Even though the workers are trying hard to construct every single minute, they are constantly on the verge of failing. The spectator looking at Standard Time does not only see the time, but also people constructing it. People who, with a stoic sense of duty, are wasting time on an apparently useless activity that fulfills only one function: to display time.
"Standard Time is a performance lasting exactly 24 hours and recorded on film. However, this film is much more than just the recording of an action, the recording of something that has taken place in the past; it is also a clock. A clock for use right now and in the future which, as each day goes by, extends further into the past, but is still up-to-date and punctual".
