Winner of the 2010 Canpages API Contest, Mood Food was chosen out of 13 entries in a nation-wide popular vote to win the grand prize. Mood Food has a multitude of colours to choose from that suit your current mood.
Once you have selected your colour, Mood Food will then give you a choice of restaurants that best match your mood. The restaurants are sorted according to your geographic location, with the closest matches first. Then it's up to you to chose your destination, Mood Food provides you with the address, telephone number, and the distance of your selected restaurant. You can also share your food experience on with your friend/family on Facebook.
MoodFood is powered by the Canpages database, which contains over 1.3 million Canadian business listings, logos, profiles, photos and video. Red Piston Inc. is currently evaluating data sources to expand the application into the United States later this year, with global plans to follow.
