[prMac.com] Indianapolis, Indiana - Sunstorm Interactive today is pleased to introduce Sundae Maker 1.0, its eleventh app for the iPhone and iPod touch devices. An ice cream lover's fantasy for the digital age, Sundae Maker allows the user to select a cone, dish, or bowl, and then build their sundae. There are a wide assortment of different flavors of ice cream, syrups, goodies, and decorations. Their creation completed, the gourmand may eat it, save it, or email it to a friend. Expansion packs of hundreds more ingredients are available.
The app opens with a large photo of a freshly made confection, the classic ice cream sundae topped with whip cream, nuts, and cherry. Selecting the appropriate icon takes the user to the kitchen, supply store, or freezer. Once in the kitchen the user can choose from 7 menus: cones/dishes/bowls, ice creams, syrups, toppings, goodies, gross outs, extras, and walls (backgrounds). Photos of each item are presented in a scrolling grid, and tapping selects any item. Visiting the supply store lets the advanced dessert-maker add up to 5 different optional expansion packs, which give the app a total of more than 300 different ingredients. From the freezer one can admire saved sundaes, email a treat to a friend, or choose a wall and sit down and eat.

Sundae Maker comes with a variety of items in every menu category, making it easy to build a sundae, layer by layer. The 5 available expansion packs bring the app to a new level of possible indulgence. Ice Cream & Syrup brings the total flavors to over 60. Toppings & Goodies adds 50 new items, such as: chewy bears and worms, sprinkles, whip cream, nuts, candy-coated chocolate, fruit chew candy, and fruit toppings.
Extras allows the ambitious to create a banana split or Happy Birthday ice cream sundae. Also included are: waffles, cones, bananas, flowers, candles, brownies, sports toppers, sparklers, and more. For an especially memorable fountain favorite the Gross Out expansion pack features edible bugs, eyes, worms, and other creepy crawlies. Finally, Crazy Insane Flavors makes possible neon, glowing, and dinosaur ice cream, the alien sundae, and more.
