[prMac.com] Hamburg, Germany - Independent software company Raijin Software today released the mental arithmetic trainer "Kopfnuss" to the worldwide iTunes App Store. Kopfnuss is set in the world of old school chalkboards and wooden tables. It features exercises for all skill levels, from mental arithmetic beginners up to quite challenging levels. The exercise types cover basic arithmetics, the rule of three, roman and square numbers and calculating with money.
In training mode 10 exercises in a row are presented to the user. Without time pressure the user can practice mental number juggling and find his own rules, how certain exercises are calculated the best way. Wrong answers will be corrected by Kopfnuss and the questions will come up some time later again.
When training in "Hard" mode starts to be no more challenge, Kopfnuss will automatically adjust the difficulty level.
In contrast to the standard training mode, "Time Trial" offers time pressure, adrenaline and bonus points for quick - and of course correct - answers. The users can compete for the highscore on the device. Additionally trophies can be earned and users can boast with their score by posting stories to Facebook.
In "Time Trial" the challenge is to solve as many questions as possible in 90 seconds. Rows of correct answers and exceptionally fast answers are rewarded with bonus points. There are several Time Trial disciplines, such as "Only and -", "All basic arithmetics" or "All available exercises".
User Management and Statistics:
Kopfnuss can manage different users and keeps track of the individual achievements. The number of completed exercises is tracked and shown in a statistics graph, so that the progress over time is visible. The statistics are available as summary for all exercise types and also separate.
