[prMac.com] Herdecke, Germany - Today danholt4mac released a new incarnation of Calories 2 - the beloved software to track your daily nutrition, body weight data and activities - and now it comes as v. 2.5.
Now you will find in Calorie's Preferences an new tab called Sync Service! With this new preference all Calories users have the option to create their own, cost-free Calories Sync Account. The Calories Sync Service allows to synchronize multiple Calories v.2.5 installations with each other. All your foods and meals, weight data and activities will be synchronized within all connected Calories 2 installations. Even more this feature is the basis for the upcoming Calories2Go iPhone client. Cal2Go - what's it called is just waiting for approval by Apple Inc. Calories 2.5 is fully compliant to support Cal2Go and the Sync Service.
But that's not all of the story... Calories 2.5 now offers the ability to share foods, especially custom foods. The food sharing is a highly anticipated feature and we believe people will love it. This way you can share your custom foods between family members, friends or any other Calories 2 user. Simply drag out a food from the daily diet list view to the desktop or any other folder. Distribute the food file by mail or over the network. Import is done by Drag&Drop too.
