[prMac.com] Austin, Texas - iAppsForStudents today announced a Back to School Sale containing steep discounts on software from the some of the best independent Mac, iPhone, and iPad developers. More than 50 independent developers are participating in the sale contributing over 100 applications with discounts totaling more than $1300. The sale, which focuses on students but is open to anyone, runs from August 15th till September 1st.
The sale is an independent developer community event and is being organized as a joint effort by indie software developers Random Accident and Blue Lightning Labs. Any independent Mac, iPhone, or iPad developer can join the sale by signing up for a free account and adding software that they wish to participate in the sale. Developers choose the discount they wish to provide and any discount codes needed in order to receive the discount. All transactions occur on each independent developers website or on the iTunes AppStore (iPhone and iPad apps).
During the sale period, which runs from August 15th to September 1st, students, teachers, and schools are encouraged to take advantage of the great discounts being offered. Interested parties simply need to navigate to iAppsForStudents, browse the available software, and make a purchase on either the developers website or the AppStore. Mac software may require the use of a discount code at the time of purchase from an independent developer.
