[prMac.com] Nashville, Tennessee - Independent developer Riley Hamilton has released Guidepost 1.0 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. Self-improvement is not something you can schedule on a calendar or cross off a to-do list. Amidst the daily hustle of our busy lives it has become far too easy to get diverted from a path of personal development.
Growing from who you are now into who you want to become is hard enough without batting away the constant distractions of daily life. Setting up a series of Guideposts (or reminders) along the way will not only help you reach your goals, but reach them faster. Guidepost is a new mobile app that uses random repetition, via Push Notifications, to easily help you stay 'on the trail'.
* Enter unlimited Guideposts
* Push Notifications to iPhone/iPad
* Configure days and times
* Receive random reminders
* Vacation Mode' - no reminders sent
* Learn to eat healthy
* Break addictive cycles
* Become a better person
* Lower your daily stress
* Strengthen current habits
* Motivational quotes
* Spiritual passages
First enter a list of Guideposts. These can be anything from self-improvements to simple inspirational messages. Then set the days and times you would like to receive one of these reminders. For each day and time selected you will receive one Guidepost from your list in the form of a Push Notification. Which Guidepost you receive, as well as the exact time it's sent, will be random but within the hours of each chosen time frame. From personal experience, it is recommended to compose a list of several Guideposts and configure your settings to match the times you are most active or likely to be 'on the trail'.
* iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad
* Requires iPhone OS 3.1 or later
* 3.5 MB
Pricing and Availability:
Guidepost 1.0 is $1.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Productivity category.
