[prMac.com] Gloversville, New York - Independent developer Ron Wheland has released HTML Writer 1.9, an update to his HTML editor for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. HTML Writer makes it easy to create or edit HTML files on the go. You can create an edit HTML files or pretty much any other text based file.
There are 3 customizable tool-bars where you can add or removes various tags, tag attributes, and code snippets. These tags, attributes, and code snippets are loaded into tool-bars above the edit view to allow you to quickly insert them into your page. Tapping on a toolbar button will insert its text where ever you have placed the cursor. You can use the built in mini web browser to find a page and download its HTML.
There is built in FTP functionality that allows you to log into the FTP server where the site you wish to work on is hosted. You can then browse the server for the pages you wish to edit, download and edit them, and then upload them back to the server. You also have the option of emailing files from the app. HTML Writer offers a great way to make quick edits to any site you may be in charge of without having to be in front of a computer. Just open it up on your iPhone or iPod Touch and make the changes you need to. You'll never have to tell a client he needs to wait for a small update again.
