myMBS for iPhone - Search the Australian Medicare Benefits Schedule

[] Melbourne, Australia - Galen Medical today is pleased to announced the release of myMBS 1.0 for iPhone, available now through the iTunes App Store. myMBS allows Australian doctors, nurses and proceduralists to carry the entire Australian Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) conveniently on their iPhone.

Already in use by doctors and nurses in Melbourne hospitals, myMBS allows users to bypass the hassles of flipping through the enormous hardcopy version of the MBS, and instead quickly browse or search item numbers at the touch of their fingers. The entire MBS from the latest January 2011 version has been reproduced and organised categorically. We have further added colour coding for each item number for easy viewing.

Individual MBS item descriptions include also Medicare fees and any derived fees and/or capped restrictions. Custom lists can be created for storage of commonly used item numbers for future reference. Also included is the ability to calculate surgical procedural fees, with the option for assistant fee display.

Due to frequent changes of the Medicare Benefits Schedule, users can expect future upgrades as they become available.
