[prMac.com] Portland, Oregon - Many Tricks, makers of helpful apps, today is pleased to announce the availability of Name Mangler, Time Sink, and Usher on the new Mac App Store.
"We're thrilled to have these three apps on the new Mac App Store," said Many Tricks' Rob Griffiths. "We think the Mac App Store will help us get our software in front of potential customers who otherwise may not have discovered it."
Name Mangler is Many Tricks' batch file renaming utility. Using Name Mangler, users can quickly rename hundreds or thousands of files at a time, using one of many renaming modes (number sequentially, find and replace, remove/insert characters, etc.). Name Mangler can show Quick Look previews of files' contents, shows before-and-after filename previews (to prevent any errors), and allows users to save reusable droplets for repetitive renaming tasks.
Time Sink is Many Tricks' newest utility, designed to help users track where they spend their time on their Mac. Time Sink monitors the windows and applications a user uses over time, and can track both foreground and background time. Users can also create pools, which are groups of related applications and/or windows, making it simple to track related tasks. Reports can be exported manually, or automatically every day to create a record of Mac usage over time.
Usher is Many Tricks' movie management and playback tool, providing tools to help users identify their movies with metadata, organize them using folders and Smart Playlists, and play them back using either a windowed or full-screen player. Usher's interface is lovely, yet never intrusive, allowing users to easily do the work they need to do to organize their movie collections.
