[prMac.com] Los Angeles, CA - Studio Pepwuper (pronounced Pep-Wu-Per) is delighted to announce it's first release, 'Megan and the Giant', a story and character-driven stealth adventure game for the whole family, and anyone who describes themselves as "young at heart."
'Megan and the Giant' was created by the independent game developer Studio Pepwuper. Episode 1 of the series will be available from February 2011 on Apple iPhone App Store.
Founder of Studio Pepwuper, Brandon Wu, took his influence for the game from children's story books, inspirational comic characters, and a trip to London, where the game is set. His vision was to create something unique - away from violent games and the limited genres that exist within the gaming world for casual gamers. "I wanted to create something that my wife and mother would enjoy playing. I want to change the view that video games are violent and mind-numbing," Wu says.
In his quest to demonstrate to non-gamers that video games can be a serious form of entertainment - that is, on par with TV, movies, and books, he concentrated on creating a story and character-driven casual game. The final result includes the following features:
* Loveable characters
* 4 Creative items to use
* 30 Levels with Fun London scenery
* Humorous character dialogue
* An exciting storyline
Based in Los Angeles, Studio Pepwuper makes story and character-driven games for people young at heart, and hope to inspire them to experience, to express, and to grow through the imaginations and interactions created together with the audience. Studio Pepwuper has a strict "No Guns" policy. "No guns are ever allowed in our games. There are enough games with guns, and we'd like to offer something different."
