[prMac.com] San Jose, California - 9thDan.com has announced a new self defense iPhone app focusing on the skills for breaking an assailant's grip. Users will learn to leverage the attacker's grip for a counter attack by by locking, bending, and twisting the assailant's wrist and arm into painful submission.
An assailant often grabs hold of the victim's wrist and tries to overpower and control the victim. This is a key moment which the defender may either fall into submission, or turn it into his/her advantage because the assailant is actually extremely vulnerable at this point! The techniques taught in this new program can give the user the skills to break the assailant's grip.
These skills are based on martial arts such as Aikido and Hapkido which place heavy emphasis on counterattack techniques. Users are taught skills to leverage the attacker's grip by locking, bending, and twisting the wrist and arm into painful submission; thus improving a chance for escape or even a counterattack.
The video lessons in this program are selected from the highly acclaimed Skills of Hapkido DVD performed by Master Hye Kyoung Kim. Concepts and theories are explained thoroughly, and high quality visual aids along with multiple angle views help users understand the techniques with better clarity.
The concept of Hapkido "Ki" grip and the Open Palm escape method is discussed and explored in the program along with use of pressure points.
This app also give users access to an exclusive self defense mini blog for extra self defense tips and news.
