[prMac.com] Wangerland, Germany - Xelaton Software today is pleased to announce the release of the first major update of MarkMyWords, the text-editor specially aimed at web-authors. Offering easy ways to format and structuring articles for the web and retaining platform-independent by using plain text documents makes MarkMyWords the ideal writing tool for articles being published on the net.
Several key improvements in MarkMyWords 1.1.0 gives writers even more control over their articles at hand and will help authors to write their articles even more easily.
MarkMyWords 1.1.0 sports a new plugin-system to enhance the feature-set to the users own needs. By using one of the widely popular script-languages Perl, PHP, Python or Ruby plugins can be created with ease. Due to the vast possibilities of the script-languages, plugins offer many ways to add new features to MarkMyWords like text-manipulations, complex replacements, fetching from data-sources, shell-operations, sending and retrieving from the internet and so on ...
The MarkMyWords-Plugin-Website offers a collection of plugins to download and the Developer-Documentation how to write your own plugins.
Also new in this version are a lot of refinements and enhancements to existing features. The MarkMyWords Marker-System is now even more flexible: creating Markers, setting Markers and removing Markers is all in just one shortcut and in combination with templates even more powerful. And with the newly streamlined access to Templates writers have powerful tools at hand to create articles with often used text-structures easily and fast.
One-Click-Styles have been improved by adding block-markup for lists and Markdown-quotes. So every line of selected text will be treated with the appropriate markup when using the One-Click-Style.
Another new feature is the use of preselected save-folders. This is a very handy feature for all, who save their files in many different folders. With just a single click a folder can be specified, which should serve as the save-destination. In addition, the update includes some bug fixes and some more improvements.
Highlights of the overall feature-set of MarkMyWords:
* Support diverse markup-languages BBCode, HTML, Markdown, Smark, Textile, Wikitext
* Live-preview of the content and possibility to add own CSS-stylesheets
* Use of text-templates and markers for quick text navigation
* Easy import of text-data from popular RSS-readers and web-browsers
