[prMac.com] Pi'ikea St. LLC today is pleased to announce that Interactive Alphabet, an app which achieved quick recognition as a leading alphabet app on the App Store released version 2.0, recently. Due to the high level of interactivity in the app, Interactive Alphabet became an overnight sensation for learning the ABC's with babies, toddlers, parents, and educators. It has received accolades from press and reviewers as well.
Version 2.0 introduces several requested features, but retains the simple, easy to pick-up interface that made earlier versions a huge success.
One feature introduced is 'Baby Mode' which auto-advances through the various interactive parts of the app on a preset interval. "It was requested by the youngest of children, in a way", says co-founder Matt Smith. "We noticed that kids as young as six months were interested and engaged by the app, but lacked a way to easily experience more of it in one session."
Version 2.0 also introduces an ABC song with a surprise in the middle. "Learning the abc's should be fun, and we could hardly leave out the alphabet song - one of the most tried and true methods for teaching the ABC's.", says co-founder Ben Lew.
Version 2.0 also introduces additional sounds and interactions on several of the letters of the alphabet.
Interactive Alphabet Version 2.0 is a tour-de-force in ABC apps which continues to be updated with relevant and customer appreciated features. Interactive Alphabet was recently awarded an Editor's Choice from the Children's Technology Review, named one of the 10 best iphone apps for pre-readers by babble.com, named best iPad App for Kids by iLounge.com and featured in Apple's 2010 Rewind on the App Store.
Interactive Alphabet for iPad/iPhone/iPod touch makes learning the alphabet a hands-on experience. The original artwork and characters draw them in, fun animation and sound effects peak their interest, and memorable unique interactions, such as eating the Apple, playing with the Squid, zipping the Zipper, and making music on the Xylophone keep them coming back for more. Each letter is softly spoken and the upbeat music and sound effects will have kids dancing, mimicking, and asking Mom or Dad if they can have their own iPad. Babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers, and even parents are having tons of fun with this great new app!
