[prMac.com] Budapest, Hungary - Viki & Joe Software has released The Internationale 1.0 for iPhone and iPod touch devices. The Internationle is an educational application that contains a complete coverage about this radical song (the long-time anthem of socialism and communism).
"With thousands of educational apps on the App Store, you put thousands of learning possibilities at your fingertips." Learning about history is an important part of the educational process.
The Internationale for iPhone is all about the emotionally charged anthem of the left, which has been sung in hundreds of languages around the word as a song of hope and change. For educational reinforcement, The Internationale is a sophisticated mobile learning tool, which gives the ability to experience the music, lyrics, story and the score in 6 different languages.
The Internationale is the international song of both Marxist and non-Marxist socialist parties. It was written in French by Eugene Pottier, a woodworker from Lille, after the fall of the Paris Commune of 1871, and set to music by P. Degeyter. The "Internationale" referred to is the International Working Men's Association, the so-called First International (1864-76), part of which had supported the Commune. It hac been used across the world as a song of resistence to oppression. Perhaps its most dramatic use in recent years was its repeated singing by the students in Tiananmen Square in 1989 - although, curiously, the western press did not comment on this.
The following languages are supported in the application: English, Russian, French, Italian, German and Spanish.
* iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad
* Requires iOS 3.2 or later
* 22.4 MB
Pricing and Availability:
The Internationale 1.0 is only $0.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Education category.
