[prMac.com] Sunnyvale, California - The Wertago Team, the award-winning mobile-app development team behind Wertago 4 Nightlife, today announced the imminent release of ClusterPic, an iPhone app that promises you'll "never miss a pic again." The app purports to give everyone at an event instant access to all the photos taken by other attendees.
ClusterPic, which will be available for free on all Apple iOS devices, makes photos taken within the app or uploaded from the iPhone's gallery instantly available to everyone attending the event. As a result, each user can browse through all the photographs associated with the event.
That explains ClusterPic's motto, "Never Miss a Pic Again." As the Wertago Team explains,
"Say you're at a wedding, a birthday party, a rock concert, a college graduation, a music festival, or a house party... Everyone's snapping pics with their iPhones. Snap. Snap. Snap. Wouldn't it be great to be able to access all those photos?"
"Maybe someone caught the bride with icing on her nose. Or someone snapped a class photo when you weren't blinking. That's what ClusterPic is for!"
A test-user is quoted as affirming the value of ClusterPic, saying, "When you do group photos, there are a dozen different cameras being used, and you never get to see all the different perspectives and versions; but with ClusterPic on the iPhone, all the pics get aggregated so that everyone can see them immediately."
The website for ClusterPic notes that ClusterPic was submitted to the AppStore on the last day of February - Monday the 28th - putting a likely approval date somewhere during the week of March 7th. "The App Store approval process can be a black box, but we're hoping for a 7- to 10-day turn-around," a Wertago spokesperson said. "We're really excited about this app because we've used it ourselves and found it valuable. We'd love to see it used everywhere from precious family moments like a child's first birthday party to chaotic Spring Break trips to big orchestrated events like SXSW. You name it."
In addition to the basic pic-sharing functionality, ClusterPic features Facebook sharing, in-app commenting and liking, and online (web) access of event photos. "We really like the idea behind this app and wanted to put out a relatively polished product, including Facebook tie-in and web access, right from the beginning. We have exciting improvements in the pipeline, too, but we felt the app was finally at a place where people could use it and really enjoy it."
The Wertago spokesperson said that sneak previews for app review sites are available by contacting the Wertago Team via a link on the ClusterPic website, and hinted that an Android version will be forthcoming as well.
