March 8, 2011 in Games (E)

[] Tampa Bay, Florida - Today, Enego Inc. officially announced that its newest App for the iPhone(R) and iPad(R) - Poker Buddies - achieved the prestigious honor of becoming one of the Top 25 most popular apps on iTunes(R). The Seminole, Florida-based company first became aware that Poker Buddies had made the Top 25 on the evening of March 7th, and made a preliminary announcement on the app's Facebook page. Coincidentally, the honor comes on the same day that Enego planned to announce the first round of Poker Buddies players whose virtual winnings qualified them to score high-value, real world prizes.

According to Eric Stone, President of Enego Inc., "When we originally released Poker Buddies back in January, we were excited to see how quickly it was catching on ... but making the Top 25 on iTunes is nothing short of an honor. That said, we're thrilled to announce the first four Poker Buddies players to win prizes thanks to their Texas hold 'em skills."

Poker Buddies gives players the opportunity to challenge friends to multiple, simultaneous one-on-one Texas hold 'em games online, or via their iPhone or iPad. Each month, players earn poin based on the number of games they win, and the total amount of chips they take from opponents. These points then register each individual player to win real world prizes ranging from gift cards to HDTVs.

The first four Poker Buddies players to win prizes are:
* Grand Prize: Dan Roberts, USA - Sony Bravia 46" LED HDTV
* First Prize: Federico Sepe, Italy - Acer Aspire One Netbook
* Second Prize: Richard Lam, Canada - Sony Playstation 3 160GB
* Third Prize: Warren Doucette, USA - $100 Amazon gift card

The game's developer also rolled-out an updated version of Poker Buddies (v1.1.1) on March 4th. The updated version will support Apple devices running iOS 3.1.3; allow users to purchase an ad-free version; fix Hand Results glitches, app crashes and battery inefficiencies; reveal opponents hole cards once a showdown situation is concluded, and add "Push" badges to the Home Screen so players know can keep track of games in which they have open moves.
