[prMac.com] Beijing, China - APPUFO has released its first new app a horoscope app named XingZuoYunShi-ZhuangYiBan (in English: Today's Fortune-Professional). It has already reached the #1 Free App rank in App Store China just a mere three days after its release, and has kept itself in Top 10 Free Apps till now.
How does a new app garner such success right after its launch on the App Store? First, it is about the app itself. The developer, Tian Yi, put much effort into this app, and it contains many attractive and competitive features such as love match. Secondly, the cross promotion in apps really plays a significant role for its download rate - APPUFO has developed 11 iPhone apps, including 6 wallpaper apps, 4 utility apps and 2 game apps. The general DAU (Daily Active Users) for these apps is 310,000 users. XingZuoYunShi-ZhuangYiBan is promoted in the apps of APPUFO through ads and "recommended apps."
In general, 34% market share of APPUFO is from China and 66% is from overseas market, in which 35% is from the USA. With the big success of this horoscope app in App Store China, APPUFO is considering to release its English version with some Chinese elements. "We are applying for the permission and copyright from an horoscope authority for the English horoscope sources, we are planning to release a English version with some Chinese elements added like the ShengXiao(12 zodiac sign)," Hejing, the CEO of APPUFO, said on Mar 7,2011. APPUFO is also wondering if the users from US or other countries would like the Chinese elements to be added or not. They would appreciate any comment regarding what should be included in this English version of the app.
