[prMac.com] Medford, Massachusetts - Yi Wang, a burgeoning independent mobile developer, today announced the recent launch of a new update for EventLoud. Available on all mobile devices running on iOS 4.0 or later, EventLoud is a unique social connectivity tool that helps users parlaying their social networking connections into real-world connections by getting people together via spontaneous user-generated events. This app accomplishes this with ease by helping users create and organize public events that anyone can sign up for, and where like minded friends and acquaintances connected via virtual networks are able to meet in a fun, safe, and - perhaps most importantly - fun setting. Recently updated, version 1.5.4 of this app allows users to login using their Facebook account and preview events without logging in or even registering. EventLoud is currently available for download on the Apple App Store for free, requiring iOS 4.0 or later in order to run.
Best described as a hybrid between a normal social networking utility and an organizational platform for planning and executing events, this app is designed to focus on social events ranging from ballroom dancing and pickup sports games, to parties and festivals, as well as everything in between. Because the app maintains a unilateral focus on helping individuals connect no commercial events, or commercial event spamming will ever happen. No concert commercials, job seminars, or anything else of the like. Just user generated events meant to bring people together in the real world, nothing more and never anything less. EventLoud has the simple goal of bringing social networking back to its roots and having people connect face-to-face at a time when more and more aspects of human interaction are handled remotely through the digital frontier.
The app employs an innovative recommendation engine as well, which actively recommends specific events for users to attend based on their search history, previously joined events, and posted events. This feature, among many others has been included to ensure that EventLoud remains both easy to use and effective as a social media channel. The app also has a simple and intuitive user interface that allows users to quickly scout through different planned events via maps, find directions, browse events by venue, and see lists of attendees all at a glance. Furthermore, while the currently updated version only supports public events, the developer has announced plans for another update in the near future which will allow the creation of private invitation-only events to be planned and organized as well. We can harness the power of our best social networking tools to actually bring people together, and EventLoud is primed to help lead the charge.
