[] New York, New York - Chromatic Bytes, LLC announces the release of Orfeo 1.0, a chromatic tuner and metronome for the iPhone and the iPod Touch.

Orfeo's tuner plays four octaves of pitches from C2 to C6 and gives you a choice of sounds. To change the sounding pitch, simply drag the note up or down the staff. The pitch standard for A4 is adjustable and includes pitch standards for early music performance (A=392, A=410, A=415, A=427, A=430, A=460 and A=466) as well as a range around A440 (A=435 to A=444).

Orfeo's metronome gives the standard range of metronome marks from 40 bps to 208 bps. It also has an extended low range down to 10 bps for the slow practice that many teachers recommend. Other features include the ability to set the rate by tapping, a visual display of the beat, a mute button and a choice of emphasis.

Pricing and Availability:
Orfeo is $9.99 USD and is currently available from the iTunes App Store.
