in Lifestyle (E)

[] Chicago, Illinois - Davka Corporation today is pleased to announce the release of cRc Kosher Version 1.1, an updated version of its popular kosher product information app that includes Passover product information for 2011, as well as expanded search capabilities.

cRc Kosher 1.1 provides a wealth of product information about Kosher-for-Passover food items, medicines, and health and beauty items. The app also supplies in-depth explanations regarding the process known as 'kashering', whereby kitchen utensils are specially cleaned and prepared for Passover use, as well as additional information regarding Passover kitchen preparation. Passover, which commemorates the story of the Exodus, is observed this year from April 19 through April 26.

cRc Kosher includes kosher product lists, a guide to kosher fruits and vegetables, and a listing of over 80 Kosher agencies worldwide recommended by the cRc, the Chicago Rabbinical Council.

cRc Kosher provides up-to-date information about the kosher status of popular beverages, fruits and vegetables, liquor, and specialty drinks. These product lists are updated daily and provide specific information regarding kosher requirements for a wide variety of foods. Users can scroll through an alphabetical list of brands and foods, or quickly search the app's database to find the necessary information. Version 1.1 has increased search functionality, and allows users to search Kosher supervising agencies by rabbi and state.

cRc Kosher also provides one-click email access to the cRc for posting questions and information requests regarding products and agencies listed in the app.
