[prMac.com] Wangerland, Germany - Xelaton Software has announced the release of the second major update of MarkMyWords, the text-editor specially aimed at authors, bloggers and developers who write and format articles for the web.
By offering easy ways to format and structuring articles for the web and retaining platform-independent by using plain text documents makes MarkMyWords the ideal writing-environment for articles being published on the net.
MarkMyWords supports a wide range of Markup-Languages like Markdown, Multimarkdown, Textile, Wikitext, BBCode and HTML. While writing the actual article, a preview is being displayed immediately for the writers to see the actual output as it would shown in a standard web-browser.
With version 1.2.0 MarkMyWords gains several new functions and possibilities to its existing rich feature-set to give writers even more control, more preferences to adjust the look and feel and more features to ease the writing-process.
MarkMyWords introduces a brand new file-browser, which offers quick access to folders defined by the user. This new file-browser also supports the document-status-system of MarkMyWords and allows quick sorting by document-status. Ultimately, the document-status of each displayed file can be changed within the file-browser with a single mouse-click.
With the new One-Click-Style editor users can now create new One-Click-Styles, edit and also delete One-Click-Styles. One-Click-Styles are a convenient way to format an article quickly. But not only styles can be added with the One-Click-Style editor, little snippets of code or text can be added too.
The editor of MarkMyWords also learned some more tricks in MarkMyWords. Besides new options to alter the look and feel of the editor even more, a new highlighting feature can be turned on to make markups more visible and a new line-gutter option, which gives writers a visible feedback and anchor when discussing articles with other authors. Also new to the editor is the automatic indention-behavior and shortcuts to indent, un-indent selected text.
Next to the new preference-option to define file-extensions for each markup-language available separately, the MarkMyWords-feature of predefined save-folders got some more treatment. On selection of a predefined save-folder MarkMyWords can be configured to open the save-dialog automatically. Also the whole process of configuring predefined save-folders within the preferences have been overhauled for easier access and configuration.
MarkMyWords 1.2.0 introduces two new language options users can use. Next to MultiMarkdown, an advanced offspring of the widely popular Markdown-language, doTheMath is new to the set of supported languages. doTheMath, as its name implies, has been developed for doing basic mathematics and offers users a convenient and fun solution to calculate their latest shopping-trip for example.
