July 17, 2008 in Utility (F)

[] Warren, Ohio - Veenix Software has announced the release of TypeBook Creator 1.0, professional font cataloging and specimen sheet printing software for Macintosh. The new software is a Universal Binary that runs on OS 10.4 or greater and features automatic font categorization, 16 page layouts and numerous customization options.

Automatic font categorization has been one the most requested features of font management and catloging software. TypeBook Creator uses a fast, algorithmic process which can distinguish between 16 font classifications of Western Roman fonts, including: serif and sans serif fonts, picture, script & thematic fonts, text fonts, mono-spaced fonts, wide and narrow fonts, and more. Fonts are analyzed as they are added to the database and tagged with appropriate categories. Users can also manually add their own categories, and recategorize fonts as they see fit.

* Mac OS X Version 10.4 Tiger or higher
* Universal Binary for PowerPC and Intel
* G3 Processor, 1GHz or faster
