[prMac.com] Salt Lake City, Utah - infiniteNIL Software today is pleased to announce the release of Packrat Lite, a free version of its Mac OS X desktop client for 37signals' Backpack web application. Packrat Lite uses the Backpack API to download your Backpack data to your computer. You can view the data much like you do in Backpack, whether or not you are connected to the internet. The full version of Packrat lets you edit the data as well and keeps changes in sync with Backpack.
Packrat Lite has all the same features of the full version, except editing your data, such as:
* Packrat Lite supports multiple Backpack accounts
* Attachments and images are downloaded when you sync so you can access them when you're offline
* Use your Backpack data offline
* Uses Growl to notify you of your reminders
* Hide your completed list items to save screen real estate
Packrat Lite provides a great opportunity to try out Packrat and enjoy the benefits of offline access to your Backpack data and a native Mac OS X user interface to interact with it Upgrade to the full version of Packrat to edit your data as well. All changes are kept in sync with Backpack.
