[prMac.com] Pembroke Dock, United Kingdom - Purple Wax Games first foray into Mac Apps is DEMINO 1.0, an intriguing domino solitaire hybrid, previously only available for iPhone. Fitting neatly into that category known as casual games, DEMINO is easy to pick up, but hard to put down. Players who are familiar with dominoes will already know how to play, others will find the hints and built in help useful and will be chaining tiles in no time.
DEMINO features deceptively simple gameplay - just chain the tiles by matching. But some forward planning is important because only a handful of the tiles are visible. Chain all the tiles to reach the next level and higher scores. Play for score, chains, levels or time - all tracked on the high score table.
"DEMINO is our attempt at creating something as simple and addictive as Solitaire but in a different yet familiar medium," said Kevin Ayre, App Inventor at Purple Wax Games. "Dominoes may be a poor cousin to playing cards and dice, but they have some intriguing properties which haven't been fully explored."
DEMINO joins the iPhone app of the same name, but with added extras such as different tile sets, high score table and fully resizeable windows.
