[prMac.com] San Francisco, California - End Boss Games today is pleased to announce Chicken Escape 1.2 for iOS, an Easter update to their family friendly puzzle game where players move and rotate colored tiles to allow the always moving chicken to get back home. To celebrate Easter, the game will be Free for a limited time through OpenFeint's Free Game of the Day Japan Relief promotions. The game features intuitive controls such as tapping to rotate a tile and dragging moves it, allowing the player to guide the always moving chicken back to her coop by arranging tiles of the same color for the chicken to walk across. Walking across tiles of the same color clears the tile from the board, and when enough are cleared, the coop appears. The game features 3D graphics, six modes of play, over 100 levels, obstacles, enemies, plus Retina display support. Also included are fun country music, Facebook connectivity, and leaderboards and achievements through Game Center and OpenFeint.
There are six different modes of play in Chicken Escape: Beginner, Arcade, Time Attack, Rescue, Endurance, and the new Easter Mode. The new Easter Mode has the chicken chasing the Easter bunny collecting Easter eggs. The main goal is to get the chicken to walk across multiple tiles of the same color; the more combos, the higher the score multiplier. But if the chicken reaches a dead end and reverses direction, the player loses the current multiplier.
The game seems simple enough, but at higher levels the player must rely on fast reflexes to avoid various natural enemies of chickens, such as the tractor, fox, UFO, and bee. Fortunately, the chicken can become Super Chicken if she eats the green worm. The mix of puzzle and Pac-Man-like action gets faster and faster, creating increasingly challenging gameplay. Players are rewarded with a dramatic, continuous 3D camera move from an overhead to a landscape view following the chicken as she finally enters the hen house. Chicken Escape has been featured in Apple's Family & Puzzle What's Hot.
