Announcing Tonalverse - An Ambient Universe Generator

in Music (F)

[] West Lafayette, Indiana - The Cellaflora Design Partnership, a mobile software team run by student developers at Purdue University, announced the release of Tonalverse, an entertainment and music application for the iPhone and iPad.

Available in the iPhone and iPad App Stores, Tonalverse and Tonalverse for iPad are "ambient universe generators" - physics engines that allow users to create music in an abstract landscape by tapping and dragging on the screen. "Our central concept was the idea of immersion in this relaxing environment," said lead developer Neophytos Palettas, a senior in biomedical engineering, "but there are certainly implications for the future of live and electronic music if this technology progresses."

Description from the App Store:

Tonalverse is a new ambient universe generator, allowing you to distract your mind by creating ambient tones and infinite sequences in an abstract graphical universe.
* Get creative in bouncing tonal spheres across a multi-dimensional landscape, designing new patterns and cellular interactions.
* Tonalverse utilizes the physical properties of simulated planetary bodies in space and unbounded cellular automation to generate infinitely unique tonal soundscapes.
* Take five minutes to immerse yourself with wholly relaxing tones generated by simply interfacing with gorgeous planetary bodies in a tonalverse of your own.
* Tonalverse is your temporary escape from reality, allowing you to reset your mind, refocus and succeed.
* Be Still. Breathe.

Pricing and Availability:
Tonalverse 2.0 is only $0.99 USD for iPhone and $1.99 USD for iPad (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and is available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Music category.
