[prMac.com] Austin, Texas - Games on the Down Low has released Hard8 v1.00 for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Hard8 is drop/match game that will draw in the causal user while still challenging even the most experienced player.
The premise of Hard8 is simple, players tap one of the 8 columns to drop dice onto the board - clearing the dice from the playfield for each 8 that is created. Player's can use any number of dice in any combination to make an 8. So a 6 and a 2 will clear the same as a 1, 1, 1, 2 and 3.
Sounds simple? Well Hard8 throws a few tricks the players way. First, there are rounds that move items from the bottom up towards the top. Second, there sometimes are dice that are random numbered until you drop them. We are sneaky like that.
We do give the player some abilities to help them out. For example, once a player drops dice on 3 different cherries a Cherry Bomb is unlocked. The Cherry Bomb will clear the entire column it is dropped on and the bottom row. There are also 3 fruits that can be captured. To get a fruit the player will have to make more than a single 8 on one dice drop. Getting all 3 fruits will clear all the blockers on the screen.
Hard 8 features, beautiful RETINA enhanced graphics, 3 Game Modes, 20 Game Center Achievements,15 Leaderboards with All-Time, Monthly and Daily leaders listed.
Players can track their personal best scores and have access to stats galore allowing them to track their progress using a multitude of stats, including your average score in every mode and every level.
