[prMac.com] Chichester, United Kingdom - Independent games developer Chris Mayer today is pleased to announce the release of Brain App v1.5. Offering new features such as automatic cross-platform synchronisation of profiles between iOS and Mac versions, an online network where users can "follow" each-other and compare scores with leaderboards and graphs, and a new website to enhance the social experience (BrainApp.net).
Over 24,000 iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users in more than 50 countries have given their brains a work-out with Brain App. Using tried-and-tested techniques, Brain App presents a variety of rapid-fire problems in quick succession to exercise the brain.
Brain App has been a hit with users and press alike "The activities are simple enough to start right away but aren't so simple that they become mundane. Brain App is a great way to keep your mind in top shape!" said Mac AppStore Review, "Hands down a 5 star app that everyone should download and practice at least once a day!" said App Dictions.
There are now 15 brain exercise modes in five exercise types:
* Speed Math
Solve as many equations as possible with the time limit. Points are awarded for solving each equation, and deducted for a wrong answer. You can choose to play for either 30 or 60 seconds at a time. Three difficulty settings are available, which control the complexity of the equations.
* Balloon Burst
Burst the numbered balloons in order. In advanced mode the order in which you must pop the balloons changes mid-game, requiring fast reflexes and giving the brain a really good workout.
* Card Count
Multiple playing cards are thrown onto the screen. Quickly total the value of the cards. It's not as easy as it sounds though - most are numbered, but Jacks, Queens and Kings will get you thinking fast to total their values.
* Missing Signs (iPad & Mac versions only)
Given only two numbers and an answer, you must figure out if the numbers have been added, subtracted or multiplied. A test of logic and math skills, answer as many correctly as you can within the time limit.
* Color Chaos
Words are displayed in colored text on the screen, you must select the button that matches the COLOR of the text displayed. Match the color of the text, NOT the actual word. Ignore the word and focus on the color of the text, it's tougher than it sounds.
"Since Brain App 1.0 was released last year the positive reviews have come flooding in, users love it and I'm thilled with all the positive feedback on the App Store and in the press. Brain App 1.5 is the first of a new breed of connected and social brain exercise software, and will leave the competition playing catch-up." - Developer, Chris Mayer
Brain App is often ranked among the top Educational Games on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The iPad version has been been featured by Apple as "What's Hot" almost continually over the past 6 months in the Australian iTunes Store.
