[prMac.com] Naperville, Illinois - Independent developer Matt Demma is proud to announce Eyebots Arena 1.2, an update to his popular arcade and action game for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. Eyebots Arena is a top down shooter featuring simple but action-packed gameplay - a modern version of robot-shooting classics like Berzerk & Robotron.
Players blast away at waves after waves of deadly Eyebots in their arena. Gameplay features an environment that changes with each wave of enemies - walls regenerate in different places, creating random rooms and barriers. In later waves, the walls begin to shift and deflect laser fire and the Eyebots become faster, smarter, and meaner. Linger too long on any one level and the dreaded Enforcer eyeball arrives to stalk you relentlessly.
As a tribute to its robot-shooting inspirations, you can play the game in a 8-bit mode, where the game takes on an 80s-era console look. Already positively reviewed, early downloaders have called it a 'great Berzerk clone' and a 'fun time-killer'. The latest updates adds some features requested via feedback along with smoother performance.
