[prMac.com] Sydney, Australia - Independent developer Steve Jarman releases Like-Wise 1.0 for iOS devices. Like-Wise is a new social networking app that takes a different approach to helping you build new relationships, by focusing on you as a person, rather than on the random results that many alternative apps rely on.
Like-Wise was built with a very simple concept in mind that what you like says just as much about you as what you are like.
Users of the app create a simple profile, and then list all of their favorite things, in categories such as movies, TV shows, books, and even foods. Like-Wise takes that information and compares it to every other profile, giving users the results and letting them know exactly how much they have in common with everyone else.
Through a unique matching system, users can then choose who they'd like to be friends with and start building those new relationships, knowing that they already have something in common. With the two-way matching, only users who have mutually approved each other are able to send each other messages, eliminating the unwanted contact that can occur in many social applications.
By using a little math, Like-Wise provides a perfect platform for taking the guesswork out of finding people that you actually share interests with, giving you a much better chance of building genuine friendships, that have a solid foundation.
