[prMac.com] Amsterdam, Netherlands - SchedJoules, the mobile calendar application developer, released WeatherCals - Local weather in your Calendar for iOS devices. This simple, yet effective app adds the local weather to the user's native iOS calendar. With WeatherCals users get weather information where they want it when they plan their life. WeatherCals is currently available in the app store for $1.99 (USD).
Everyone knows how frustrating it is to set up a private meeting and suddenly the weather is much better or worse than expected. And why start up a separate app to check the weather when the user has the information in his calendar which he checks multiple times a day ?
WeatherCals adds detailed local weather forecasts up to 7 days in advance to the user's calendar. Per day 4 predictions are given on different times during the day with temperature, wind and precipitation in a clean non-intrusive way. The UV index (strength of the sun) and the sunrise/sunset times complete the information per day.
WeatherCals adds a unique sub-calendar to the iPhone calendar for each city of choice. Forecasts are updated 6 times a day. WeatherCals integrates great with other calendar apps like Week Calendar, miCal, Easy Calendar and Calvetica. Forecasts can be synced with desktop and webcalendars like iCal, Outlook, Gcal, MobileMe, Exchange and CalDAV.
