[prMac.com] Hong Kong - Ikura Group Limited would like to congratulate Mr Tony Leung of Los Angeles who won the Grand Prize of $1000 in ikuragames 4th of July Jabbit Jabonanza.
Stephen Price, Managing Director of Ikura Group Limited, said: "We were delighted to be able to run this contest over the holiday weekend. While many of the big name game studios flood the marketplace with price discounts over the holiday periods in an attempt to grab as many new customers as possible, for smaller developers we prefer to reward our loyal fans and customers in more entertaining ways. We were thrilled that the contest was won by one of our earliest adopters!"
After hearing the news of his win, Mr Leung said, "Jabbit is my favorite whac-a-mole game on the iPad. I was one of the lucky early adopters and have been recommending it to all my friends since it was released. Thanks to its underlying cocos2d engine, it has very smooth graphics and cute cartoonish jabbits. The gameplay is excellent, simple to pick up, yet challenges even avid gamers, as this contest clearly demonstrates.
I have been involved in a few contests through arn's well known gaming site, touchArcade. To my knowledge, there has never been one with a prize as impressive as this one. At first I was not sure if I have what it takes to win as I had not even unlocked the Sandstorm level in the game. Once I had my mind set on this competition, I quickly worked to unlock the difficult Sandstorm level. I was behind in the scoring until I hit 740, then I was able to eventually increase it to 954, all the while maintaining a healthy margin against the competition on the integrated Game Center leaderboard. My friends and family were wondering why I kept checking the leaderboard over the July Fourth weekend! I would like to congratulate 'jabbitmaster' who had 847 points. He kept me on my toes the whole time during the contest.
Thank you IkuraGames for an exciting competition of truly epic dimensions. I look forward to more exciting games and contests in the coming months."
