[prMac.com] Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom - Lightwood Games today is excited to announce their latest word game for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, to help the summer days go with a bang! Pop Words, designed and developed by Lightwood Games, is especially suitable for the family audience but with harder levels to challenge avid word game fans!
The game is a classic word ladder (sometimes called chain letters) set against the open skies for letter shaped balloons to float in. Pop a letter balloon to replace it with another and make a new word. Pop Words offers two games modes: in challenge mode you'll need to get from one word to another, whereas in timed mode the goal is to make as many words as you can in the given time.
Pop Words has friendly cartoon style graphics, amusing sound effects and a catchy tune making it appeal to players of all ages. It will undoubtedly help the miles fly by while improving players' word power if they take it on a trip. For those giving it to the kids to play in the back of the car, there are options to turn off the music and/or sound effects. As usual Lightwood Games have turned to Apple's Game Center to allow players to earn awards and achievements at certain milestones.
