[prMac.com] Ottawa, ON Canada - Logix Digital today is pleased to announce the release of Tiny Tanks 1.2, an important update to their popular battle tank simulation game for iOS devices. Tiny Tanks has undergone a significant revamp and now boasts 14 new levels, sound, and many new game features, including: moveable crates, trees, rocks, explosive barrels, new enemy tanks and health kits.
Tiny Tanks is an innovative tanks shooter game in which the user controls a tiny green tank, using a floating virtual joystick, that moves around each level and must kill all enemy tanks before continuing to the next level. There are currently two level packs, General and Lieutenant, with a total of 34 exciting levels. Each level is scored on a five-star scale, based on speed, accuracy and health remaining. This game is OpenFeint-enabled, allowing users to compare their high scores with friends, view the leader boards and brag about their scores on Facebook or Twitter.
Tiny Tanks was developed using Corona SDK, a popular mobile development platform by Ansca Mobile, that lets developers easily create games for the most popular mobile OS's - iOS and Android.
"Tiny Tanks is one of those games you just can't put down. Once you think you've figured it out, tanks come after you from all over the place," remarks Ansca co-founder Carlos Icaza. "Great graphics, sound and game play that highlights what one can do with Corona SDK."
It has been an exciting month for Logix Digital, the creators of Tiny Tanks. Since the initial release of Tiny Tanks for iOS on July 6th, the game has been featured on iTunes' "New and Noteworthy Games" and named "App of the Week" by Ansca Mobile. It has also received positive user responses.
"It's going to be an action-packed release, which we are really excited about," says Michael Lerner, co-founder of Logix Digital. "The goal of this update was to take our users' requests and feedback to heart and deliver on what's most important to them - more levels and sound. We have done exactly that, and went even further by adding exciting new features to the levels."

Founded in 2011, Logix Digital is a young startup based in Ottawa, Ontario. Co-founders Michael Lerner and Backnol Yogendran combined their passion for gaming and background in engineering to create our first product - Tiny Tanks. We have taken the classic tanks game concept back to the drawing board, and re-designed it from top to bottom specifically for touch-based mobile devices. Our goals were to give our users flawless touch controls that enhance the gameplay, make the game casual to match the typical iOS user base, and integrate social networking features to make it, well, more social.
