[prMac.com] Washington, District Of Columbia - Nexercise has announced Nexercise 1.7, with over 300 reviews and an average rating of 4.5 stars, it has become a serious contender in the health & fitness mobile app category. Since the release of its latest version, the app has risen to and maintained triple-digit downloads daily.
How it works: Nexercise is a free mobile app that gauges physical activity and rewards users with virtual medals, discounts on healthy food and free merchandise. Nexercise rewards and influences behaviors not outcomes by making exercise more fun and giving users opportunities to win big.
Nexercise was built upon the belief that exercise doesn't have to be boring and you don't have to drastically change your lifestyle to be healthy. The Nexercise team believes being healthy is a mindset. The way we challenge traditional thought is by making physical activity more fun and rewarding through our mobile app.
A completely redesigned UI - Nexercise partnered with the usability experts at the Apple World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) to revamp its graphics and improve the overall user experience.
Kiip Rewards - Nexercise partnered with Silicon Valley superstar Kiip, a venture-backed company, to provide users with even more compelling rewards. Nexercise users now have the opportunity to win free merchandise from great companies like Sephora & 1-800-Flowers.com just by being active for a minimum of 15 minutes a day.
Visualizing Progress- One of the key aspects for generating and sustaining motivation is the ability to visualize one's progress. With stunning new graphics, Nexercise engages its users by allowing them to see the progress they've made on a calendar and track trends in exercise habits. Users can also see how they compare to friends and family who Nexercise and earn points for working out together and/or competing against one another.
Nexercise creator, Benjamin Young, struggled with his weight after college. He realized this was due to a series of bad habits that slowly accumulated once he entered the workplace. When it came to being active, Ben found himself caught in a vicious cycle. He went from being a gym addict, to unhealthy eating habits and feeling lazy, becoming more active, then falling off the bandwagon again.
While attending the Wharton School of Business Executive MBA program, Ben met his Nexercise co-founder, Gregory Coleman, who had been experiencing the same difficulties. Together, they realized most people must have the same frustrations and outlook when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle and not having enough hours in the day to do so. Determined to make a change, Ben and Greg dreamed up an interactive tool that would guide people to make healthy choices and stay motivated by giving them rewards the entire way through.
Nexercise is constantly evolving, shaped by user feedback and anticipating people's needs for the best workout experience possible while continuously adding more ways to win attractive discounts and prizes.
