[prMac.com] Los Angeles, California - OmNom Apps has announced Button Smasher 2.0, a significant update to the semi-finalist in the inaugural AppMadness Tournament. Button Smasher is a fast-paced game that will leave you wondering what you should press next. Touch the buttons at the bottom of the game screen to clear the highlighted shapes at the end of the loop. It's that easy.
The update included:
* The addition of power-ups
* New sounds and graphics
* Counting score
* Game over screen
* Slight tweaks aimed at improving game play
With the introduction of power-ups, players are encouraged to play faster and more accurately in order earn them. Each power-up adds a new dimension to the game and are designed to provide benefits to different types of gamers. Power-ups include invincibility (shield), automatic points (arrow), a reduction in the number of shapes generated (shapes), multiplier (lightning bolt), and the ability to add time (clock).
With a push of a button, power-ups are activated. They provide for a more strategic experience for varying types of gamers.
