[prMac.com] Wien, Austria - To reinvent the classic card matching game, comas - Andreas Stocker today announces the launch of its iPhone application My Photo Memo 1.0, giving kids of all ages (and kids at heart) a new way to test their concentration and memory skills.
With the My Photo Memo app, users try to match the pairs of cards as quickly as they can. Players turn over cards two at a time to reveal the photo on the other side. The game challenges players' concentration skills because they must remember where each card is to find its match.
"My Photo Memo is a fun new way to play the classic matching game," said Andreas Stocker, creator of the app. "It's easy to learn but tough to stop playing!"
My Photo Memo awards points for each set of cards found, but deducts points for each incorrect pair. Players challenge themselves to see how my points they can earn, and can show off their achievements on the High Score board.
"There are many fun and exciting ways to play the game," Andreas Stocker said. "You can customize the cards, make it easier or harder, and try out both game modes."
In an original twist to the game, users can customize the cards with their own photos. Players can choose images from their iPhone or iPad to create a fully personalized game, such as using photos of friends, family, or vacations.
The app features two different game modes, giving players a choice of the game they want to play. In Arcade Mode, users keep playing until they uncover too many mismatched pairs. The game can be made easier or harder by changing the number of misses allowed, and the number of cards to show.
Or, users can choose to just play one round and count the points at the end, an option popular for younger players.
To start the fun immediately, the app provides several premade card sets - toys, fruits and vegetables, flowers, or tools. The user can choose which card set to play with or pick randomly. Players can also make their own set of cards by using personal photos to customize the game.
The next version of My Photo Memo will support Apple Game Center. A community system for sharing self-created card sets with other users will also start soon.
