[prMac.com] AUSTIN, Texas - Peppered Software released the first version of their flagship application, Scribe. Scribe 1.0 is an outliner designed to capture ideas and take notes. It includes the ability to collapse and expand items in the outline, reorder items, and adjust the document's look and feel. The application is aimed at students, professionals, creatives, and anyone who needs to structure their thoughts.
"We strive for minimalism and simplicity. Scribe really gets out of your way, which makes it the outliner we've always wanted", says Dexter Weiss, cofounder.
Users familiar with text editing on the Mac will feel right at home using Scribe. While many applications break up outline items into separate text fields, Scribe's outlining engine is built directly into the Mac's text engine. "It just feels right", says Donald Ness, cofounder.
The minimalist interface puts your ideas front and center with little distraction. The toolbar sports only the most necessary buttons, and all common outlining actions are available from hot-keys. A style menu allows for quick adjustment of line spacing, text size, and font. The two color modes, light and dark, optimize readability for any time of day.
* Mac OS X 10.6 or later
* 0.5 MB
