[prMac.com] San Francisco, California - Technology in (Spl) Education will be hosting the APPy Holidays Facebook event on Monday along with Melissa Northway, author of Penelope the Purple Pirate and Karen Robertson, author of Treasure Kai and the Lost Gold of Shark Island. Throughout event, they will be providing fun facts about the holidays, information about the developers, the apps and posting free promotion codes from the participating developers.

The apps on special will be revealed Thursday night at 9:00 p.m. California time with a Kick Off Party hosted on the Technology in Special Education Facebook page.
Many of the apps participating are award winning and highly reviewed. Penelope the Purple Pirate HD has been chosen as a Digital Storytime Top10 Educational iPad App, Treasure Kai won "Best in Category" at the New Media Film Festival San Francisco, Pirate Scribblebeard's Treasure with Oscar & Josephine is winner of the Best Entertainment App Award presented by Adobe and Sony.
Some of the other participating developers and their apps are: NxtApp 4 Kids, Chore Pad HD, See. Touch.Learn Pro 2012, iLuv Drawing Animals - Learn to Draw 40 Animals, ConversationBuilder Deluxe, Multiplying Acorns HD from Tasty Math Facts, 25-in-1 Free Educational Games, Tapikeo and Simplex Spelling Phonics 1.
Siva Kumar started the Technology in SPL Education site in the early 2011 to collect and share tools, hardware and applications available for the enhancement of technology in education with emphasis in Special education.
