[prMac.com] San Francisco, California - App artist deeje is pleased to announce the 4th major release of tappr.tv for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch, which now features an online social community that lets users publish, rate, and subscribe to visuals for their favorite musical artists.
tappr.tv is a new kind of entertainment app for iOS that let's users make their own music visuals, called dances, using over 100 visual wands. Each wand uniquely responds to the user's touches with bursts of particles and light. While a song is playing, wand motions can be recorded into separate layers, called tracks. tappr.tv sports many unique features:
Theater - This is where users watch and rate dances by the tappr.tv community:
* Favorite Artists = displays dances based on the user's artist subscriptions
* Top Rated = displays the top 30 dances on tappr.tv, based on the number of stars
* Most Watched = displays the top 30 dances on tappr.tv, based on number of views
* Newest = displays the last 30 dances published by the tappr.tv community
* Loops = displays loops that aren't set to music, great for doodling and silent relaxation
To help the tappr.tv community find the best dances, users can rate the dances they watch from 1 star "OK" to 5 stars "Awesome".
This is where users create dances. When the user selects a dance, they can see and edit its tracks, change each track's wand, and record wand movements. When they've created a dance they like, they can publish it for other tappr.tv users to watch and rate.
In the Studio and Theater, users can share dances on Facebook, Twitter, or via Email, with a web-ready URL.
* Video Out & Play All:
Users can attach their iPad or iPad 2 to an HD TV, either wired or via AirPlay, and let tappr.tv shuffle thru all the dances in Favorite Artists or Loops. Great for chillaxin!
* Artist Subscriptions:
When users first launch tappr.tv v4, they'll be asked to enable Scan Music Library, which will analyze their music for their favorite musical artists and subscribe to their "channels". When new dances to songs by those artists are published by other tappr.tv members, users receive a push notification and those dances will automatically be downloaded into the Theater.
Here users can see their stats, what they've been doing, and who has been watching and rating their dances. Users can also see their published dances, ranked by their overall views. Users will also receive a push notification whenever someone watches or rates one of their dances.
* iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad
* Requires iOS 4.1 or later
* 7.7 MB
Pricing and Availability:
tappr.tv 4.1 is free and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Social Networking category. For a limited, publishing is also free, so get dancing!
