[prMac.com] Based in Hong Kong - Lakoo, the game developer that brought us fan favorite MMO Empire Online has launched an expansion for their popular action packed arcade-role playing game, Hero's Way.
The three new customizable heroes include:
* The Cleric, with his team affecting auras
* The Demon Hunter, with his deadly piercing crossbow
* The Mercenary with, his ferocious attacking power
In the Christmas spirit of giving, Lakoo also created a new 14 level ranking challenge mode called the Dark Whirlpool, where you can slay as many monsters as you can within a time limit.
With version 1.5 update, Hero's Way players can create a new team of heroes to go against the forces of evil. A total of six heroes (three from the original release, Rogue, Warrior and the Witch) to pick from, giving the player a variety of choices to customize a team that best suits their type game play. It's great to see the additions of a team support hero like the Cleric who will help increase defenses of the entire team for players that favor defensive play. Not to mention for the aggressive player, they now have the option in picking the Mercenary or Demon Hunter who both seem to be more on the "a good defense is a good offense" school of thought. There's also new class based weapons and armor that players can buy from the game's shop or find as they hack their way though hordes of monsters and bosses!
For both new and seasoned players who may just want to go and slay a ton of monsters for fun, the new challenge mode will be what they've been longing for in their Hero's Way! There are 14 levels where you each level will be unlocked by how you are ranked in the previous level. Be warned, the monsters here are tougher then in story mode. You can enter the new challenge mode through the Dark Whirlpool icon on the map.
With over a million people playing Hero's Way, now is a great time to give it a try. Check it out in App Store.
