Magic Jewels - The Puzzle Game That Works Your Brain And Intuition

in Games (F)

[] Kuching, Malaysia - Team NEETBytes introduces Magic Jewels 1.0, the third major release from this indie game developer. Magic Jewels is a puzzle game that not only works your ability to think and plan ahead, but also your intuition.

Most puzzle games require logic and thinking. Although the same could be applied to Magic Jewels, there also requires the ability to act based on intuition. Relying solely on your brain power will have you worn out in no time at all when trying to solve this puzzle.

Magic Jewels is meant to be a fast game. There are no timers in the game, but it will take a long time to work out the best possible set of moves to beat it. More often than not, you'll be forced to rely on what you think is the best next move.

Intuition is something that can be learned and honed. By playing Magic Jewels, you'll learn to pick up seemingly random patterns and find the next move you need to make quickly without having the need to over-analyze the game board.

Players will slowly gain insight to spot certain patterns that will allow them to gain leverage in the game.

In Magic Jewels, players are supposed to flood the entire board with jewels or gems of a single color. Players start the game with game board filled with gems of different colors. There are up to 6 different colored gems on expert mode, which is the highest difficulty mode in the game.

Starting from the top left gem, players can control the color of that gem and change it into a new color. Any adjacent gems that share the same color will then be converted under your control. While it may sound simple at first, the kicker is here is that players are required to complete the game board within a limited number of moves. Most players will end up with a few moves short to win the game.

Magic Jewels has received rave reviews so far since its launch a week ago. Players have called it fun and addictive. However, the most popular stage for the game seems to be the bonus level, where instead of gems, the players get cute 8-bit style animals as tiles. The characters used for this level is taken from the web comic series "Mocha & Friends", which was also created by Team NEETBytes.
