Candywriter's As The Crow Flies straight into the App Store

December 15, 2008 in Navigation (E)

[] Seattle, WA - Candywriter today announced the release of its new freeware app, As The Crow Flies, for iPhone. As The Crow Flies uses your iPhone's built-in GPS to tell you exactly how far you are from your favorite places in the world "as the crow flies" (the most direct route between two points on the planet).

Add your favorite locations and addresses around the globe using the built-in Google Maps module and then open the app at any time to see exactly how far you are from your girlfriend's place, your house, the Taj Mahal, or wherever. As The Crow Flies requires an iPhone and a user who shares our curiosity for the world around them.

Key Features:
* Tells you how far you are from your favorite places "as the crow flies"
* Updates continuously (take the dog for a walk and watch the distances change in real time)
* Interfaces with Google Maps to add new places or display the crow's path from your location to your favorite place
* Use kilometers or miles
* View maps in Google Maps' Roadmap, Satellite, Hybrid, or Terrain views

Pricing and Availability:
As The Crow Flies is free and available exclusively through Apple's App Store.
